The MMA-350 is a new generation
multimedia language laboratory from Labtech that offers superior control and
flexibility in learning. it maintains our expected standards for reliability as
proved by our previous models but adds new digital controls and switching that
improve overall sound quality and student recording systems.
multimedia learning:
Language is learned best when the student can
observe and listen to native speakers conversing in different situations.
Learning a language is not only about memorization but it is also learning about
cultures and how they express themselves. Individual and group practice
sessions are essential tools in achieving faster and better results. A variety
of multimedia visual and audio programs allows the student to see and hear
people interacting in their original environment. The MMA-350 is able to use a
wide range of teaching media in order to make language education more
interesting for the students. Audio sources are able to be used from tape
cassettes, radios, televisions, vcr,
vcd and voice formats. The video learning material is able to be
accessed from tv, vcr or
vcd formats.
With
the Labtech language labs the teacher may draw upon many types of voice, audio
and video sources to provide model speaking, pronunciation and intonation
patterns. The lab allows many groups to study and practice at the same time
thereby speeding the learning process. This enables students to study at
different paces and makes the learning more effective for the entire class. The
end result is that the students learn faster and speak in a manner closer to the
original real way of speaking. These labs provide the teacher with a powerful
tool that enables the students to learn from "expert" sources and enhances and
expands the teachers capabilities by a large margin.
The
Labtech system provides an excellent tool for intensive language training. The
teacher can conduct group lessons or tailor lessons to the needs of individual
students. The intercom and monitoring functions make it easy for the teacher to
guide each student according to their needs. In today's language lab, listening
comprehension and speaking practice is often independent work. The student
language recorder features a digital voice memory that allows the student to
repeat the last section to aid in perfecting comprehension, pronunciation and
the understanding of speaking intonations and patterns.

The language lab can be configured in a variety of ways to suit each customers
needs. A number of multimedia sources are available to choose from and
incorporate into the system. The number of student stations can range from 20
to 60 students. Several different types of student desks, student chairs,
teachers chairs are available
