training system |
This trainer consists of modular based program
designed for the study of radio communication. The entire system takes the
student from basic RF principles to advanced concepts in an organized and
methodical way.
Each module covers a
particular receiving or transmission technology and consists of a special
board onto which the circuit components are mounted so as to be easily
accessible to the students. Modules consist of a high quality epoxy coated
fiberglass printed circuit board (PCB) with the components mounted onto the
surface. On each board the components are laid out in a clear and logical
manner and the circuit schematic diagram is silk-screened onto the surface.
This aids the student in component identification and explanation of the
circuit function. Test points are featured in appropriate places and are
numbered for reference in the exercises. 10 fault circuits are built into
each module and can be activated through the electronic fault insertion
system included on the base station. Each module comes with it's own
hardware and courseware that provides theory as well as practical exercises
for students.
Modules are mounted into a
base station during operation. The base station features common controls,
power supply and an electronic fault insertion system that is required for
operation of the module. The fault insertion system is activated by touching
an electronic switch with a special teaching probe. Single or multiple
faults may be introduced at any time.
