Trainer Modular Application Modules
 
The Labtech Programmable Logic Controller Trainers are designed to work with most equipment that can be controlled by PLCS. However, Labtech has also developed special application training modules that interface quickly and easily with our PLC Trainers. These modules provide a variety of programming challenges for the student and are as economic as they are practical The system consists of a base station which provides a platform for the modules. The base station includes a number of switches, power supply and other control and signaling devices that can be used in conjunction with the modules for control, signaling or modification purposes.

The modules feature graphic representations of the device that they are simulating and use LED’s to illustrate the actions that are taking place. So the students are able to see the result of their programming visually on the modules. The modules range from basic to intermediate levels in complexity. This includes modules such as a traffic light simulator where a range of scenarios can se setup including control of the pedestrian crossing lights. These modules provide practical programming applications for the student to work on and apply his new knowledge about PLC operations. These modular application modules allow immediate and easy use of PLC programming techniques and also the student may perform debugging procedures after watching the program run and correction errors.
The base station can be used with any or all of the modules listed on this catalog. The base station includes all the switches, and indicators for basic I/O simulation as per the modules requirements. Sample programs are also included for each of the application modules. This provides a base from which the student can work on or compare his work to.
