Labtech provides a comprehensive Petrol Engine training program that features many types of engines available from the major Automobile manufacturers. The program is designed to take the technician through several levels of training described below:
Level 1-Theory: Sectioned engines with transmissions are used for demonstrating the operational and functional characteristics of the engine systems. Also the Diesel engine models in Section “1A' would be very useful for theoretical instruction on the combustion process.
Level 2-Engines for Skill Practice (EP-DRS): Non-running engines are available on rotating engine stands. These are used for the training of disassembly and assembly techniques and are excellent for the development of hand on engine rebuilding skills. These engines can also be run after rebuilding with our MESU System featured in Section “ET”.
Level 3-Live Engines for Skill Training (ED-LRS): These are either reconditioned, rebuilt or new engines that are mounted on rotating engine stands. They come with all basic accessories and support systems so that can operate. These engines are useful for progressing the student through to a higher level of skill development including rebuilding and test running exercises.
Customers may select from a variety of engine models as offered in our “Engine Data List” shown at the end of this section. By making a proper selection our customers can match the engines to local training requirements. Specific engine models not included in our “Engine Data List” may be available upon enquiry.
Level 4-Live Engine Test Beds (ED-TB): These are either reconditioned, rebuilt or new engines which are mounted on our modular engine test bed and come complete with all accessories, support systems and full instrumentation that are needed for engine operation. These test beds are extremely useful for training on engine testing performance, tune-up, maintenance and troubleshooting. An important feature of these engine test beds is that they can operate together with our Dynamometer systems featured in Section “ET”. |
