(EP2A) Petrol Engines Test Bed

The Labtech Petrol Engine Test Bed is supplied with an installed running engine and is ideal for teaching of engine operation, tune-up, diagnosis, fault finding and trouble shooting. The test bed is of a modular design so that it can accommodate any of the engines available from Labtech, including three, four, six and eight cylinder engines. A wide variety of engines are available as listed on a separate DATA Sheet. A unique feature of the engine test bed is that it is specifically designed so that it may operate with the Labtech Modular Dynamometer System (MDS).  

The engine test bed features a very strong tubular steel frame which uses original factory rubber engine mounts in order to reduce vibration. The frame can accommodate an engine with or without a transmission. A flywheel safety guard is provided for operation without the transmission. On models with the transmission the clutch and shifting mechanism are fully operable. The test bed has four large strong wheels for mobility and two of the wheels have locks in order to keep the engine stationary during operation. 

The test bed is ordered together with the customer’s choice of engine (with or without the optional transmission and clutch pedal) and is provided complete with the shifter (supplied with transmission units), cooling system with radiator and water pump / fan, electrical system with 12 volt battery and charging system, fuel system with fuel pump and fuel tank, exhaust manifold and silencer, lubrication system including oil filter, air filter, starter motor, instrumentation console with gauges and ignition key. Complete operation and maintenance manuals are provided.
