(EP1) Sectioned Petrol Engines

These sectioned engines with transmissions are proven to be one of the most useful demonstration aids used in an automotive classroom.  The complete engine and transmission has been carefully sectioned to expose all of the internal operational details.  All major parts have been sectioned including the engine block, transmission, alternator, distributor, carburetor, starter motor, water pump, thermostat, oil filter, fuel pump, etc.    

When demonstrating the operation of the engine all key working parts may clearly be seen therefore showing the student the function and inter-relationship between the components.  Sectioned areas have been beautifully finished and color coded for easy identification. 

A variety of models are available which incorporate different engine technologies.  Such models feature overhead valves (OHV) or overhead cams (OHC), in-line cylinder configuration versus horizontal (Flat) type or transverse, 4 cylinder or 3 cylinders (with counter balance mechanism).  Other models offer high performance features such as electronic fuel injection (E.F.I), electronic ignition, turbo-charger and multi-valves. 

The engine may be turned over by a hand crank or the optional electric motor (Z) may  be ordered which rotates the engine at a reduced speed for safety.  Engine and  transmission are mounted on a sturdy  steel stand which is fitted with wheels for easy mobility.  Each engine is supplied with a workshop/service manual for reference.  Other model  engines  are available upon request, such  as for 3, 6 and 8 cylinder petrol engines. 

Matching sectioned and live engines can also be provided such as those on pages ED02 and ED03. Specific brands or models can be provided upon requested. 

(Sizes for the sectioned engines vary from approximately 1200 to 2000 cc depending upon the exact brand and model).
