AIR CONDITIONING TRAINERS FOR LARGE VEHICLES

These air conditioning trainers have been developed to allow training on split type air conditioning systems that are commonly fitted to buses and large trucks. They are designed to clearly demonstrate the function and operation of there large systems with a special emphasis on controls, maintenance and troubleshooting. 

The components are mounted on a large mobile trolley work platform, which allows clear visibility and easy access to the system for training. 

There are two main types of systems available, one with a diesel engine driven compressor and the other with an electric drive for the compressor.  All units come complete with a compressor, evaporator with blower, condenser with fan, control panel with controls for the thermostats and blowers.  All tubing and connec­tions are provided for an operational system along with strategically placed hand valves, sight glasses and thermometers. Hand valves can be used to isolate components in order to induce variations into the operational system and to insert faults; the sight glasses enable the student to observe the various conditions within the system.  The large vehicle air conditioning trainers are charged only with refrigerants that comply with the Montreal protocol, mainly R22 and R134a and are therefore environmentally friendly.
