This Section includes a number of training systems, components and demonstration apparatus for technical instruction concerning automotive electrical and electronic systems.

A number of different types of systems are provided to meet each customer’s training needs including sectioned models made from original components for classroom theory instruction, demonstration units for showing various functions and applications, training systems for hands on training in disassembly, repair, assembly and troubleshooting. Program highlights are described below:

Basic Electronics and Electrical Systems: Labtech features a series of entry level trainers that familiarize the student with basic electrical and electronic concepts that are important in establishing the foundation for further learning in this area.

Ignition Systems: A series of models and demonstration units are available for instruction concerning ignition systems for petrol and diesel engines including conventional and electronic type ignitions.

Instruction on Components: After the Basic program, the student is ready to study about the major electrical components utilized in the automobile. Labtech provides sectioned and operational units for instruction in the theory and characteristics of these units such as batteries, distributors, coils, starter motors, alternators, generators, windshield wiper, etc. A test bench is also available to provide a testing platform for the operational characteristics of alternators, generators and starter motors.

Practical Electronics and Electrical Training: After instruction on the components the student is ready to study the overall systems. This may be done on the Auto Electrical Chassis or with the Automotive Electrical Panel Training System. In addition to these systems, further training may be given by utilizing the live electrical system on our sectioned instructional vehicles which contain a full automotive electrical system and wiring harness that is almost identical to a real vehicle.
