(BS9) Power Steering Trainers

Labtech produces two types of power steering trainers that are used to demonstrate the principles and operation of typical power assisted steering systems as found on many vehicles today. The first type is a smaller unit which has only the functional operational parts of the power steering system itself. It is capable of demonstrating how such systems work. The second and larger unit is a complete power steering system mounted onto an original front end steering and suspension unit which it operates. In both trainers an electrical motor drives the hydraulic pump with belt drive. An ampere meter provides an indication of the load or power and in-line hydraulic pressure gauge monitors the pressure of the hydraulic fluid circuit. A resistance mechanism provides realistic operation and gives a load to the hydraulic circuit. The steel frame for the trainers is painted with a heavy duty epoxy paint that is resistant to petrol, diesel fuel and brake fluid.

MODEL : BS-PSU-T1-BASIC POWER STEERING TRAINER

This trainer contains all the original components that comprise a basic power steering system. All components are operational and mounted on a mobile frame. Components include: power steering gearbox, pitman arm, steering activation handle, power steering hydraulic pump, fluid reservoir, hydraulic hoses, 1.5 Kw electric motor, amperemeter, in-line hydraulic fluid pressure gauge.

MODEL: BS-PSU-T2-POWER STEERING TRAINER AND FRONT END UNIT

This trainer consists of an original front end steering and suspension unit of a typical vehicle which is fitted with a power steering system. All the components are operational and are mounted on a mobile frame. Components includes: steering wheel, power steering UNIF, front end suspension, steering linkage and brakes, power steering pump with reservoir, hydraulic hoses, pitman arm, 1.5 Kw electric motor with controls, amperemeter, hydraulic pressure gauge.
