ITEM

:

FRONT AXLE STEERING GEOMETRY TRAINER

MODELS

:

BS-FSG-T

This trainer consists of a scale model front end of a vehicle that incorporates original and simulated parts in order to create the overall mechanism similar in function to an automobile front end steering system. The trainer can be used to clearly demonstrate the theory of alignment, the adjustment movement of the wheel, and the measurement of the adjustment. The wheel can be adjusted in three separate axis and the trainer comes with special aids for measuring the angle and position of the wheels.

The following exercises can be performed:

a)

Adjustment of the tires (wheels) and centering of the steering mechanism.

b)

Track or wheel alignment (toe-in and toe-out).

c)

Adjustment of castor and camber.

d)

King pin angle inclination.

The unit features an original rack and opinion steering mechanism connected to two small wheels that have scaled down linkages and adjustments. Alignment boards under the wheels have degree alignment indicators and a special magnetic castor/camber and inclination gauge is provided. Trainer comes complete with student exercises.
