Split Air Conditioner Trainers

ITEM :    SPLIT AIR CONDITIONER TRAINERS

These trainers are beautifully designed for instruction in the classroom so the student can learn about and explore the operational principles of split air conditioners.  The student will be able to follow the refrigeration cycle, explore the lay out and function of all the major components and controls, review installation procedures, perform servicing and troubleshooting exercises.  The trainer is a fully operational unit that contains all the basic components as found on split air conditioners.  The components are clearly laid out in a serviceable manner and are mounted onto a work bench type frame.  A number of special controls, meters and transparent view ports have been provided in order for the student to control and monitor a variety of experiments

Several models are available with either single or multiple evaporators.  A three evaporator unit is shown in the photo with one unit mounted on the front together with the condensing unit (outdoor) unit and the remaining two evaporators are mounted on the back.  This allows for easy access during serving procedures.  Please note the multiple pressure gauges (8 units) which provide reading for the condensing unit as well as each evaporator.  Also multiple hand valves and sight glasses are added onto each evaporator circuit.  The model above is the DAIKIN Super-Multi which is a very advanced split air conditioner that features microprocessor control of each evaporator, electronic metering devices (expansion devices) and a horizontal scroll type compressor with variable speed drive.  It represents the current state of the art controls in use today with also fault indicator codes displayed on the circuit board and remote controls that can be activated with our fault insertion system.

Features:

The split air conditioner has been reconfigured to enhance the learning process.  Each system is fully installed with piping and electrical connections so that it is ready to operate.  Clear Plexiglas panels have been used on the outdoor unit and evaporator(s) to expose the internal parts.  Components are clearly laid out and marked with labels for easy identification.  Silk screen color diagrams of the refrigeration and electrical circuits are provided for instructional guidance.  Hand valves are used to cut in and out various components and also to introduce malfunctions.  Sight glasses monitor the refrigeration state at strategic locations.  Detailed courseware is provided including a manual containing student exercises together with the factory service and installation manuals.  The electrical system has been modified to include multiple test points on the outdoor unit and each evaporator.  This makes it easier for the student during the troubleshooting exercises as it avoids the potential problems associated with dismantling the unit to gain access to the interior.

Components and  Systems Include:

Outdoor unit comes with the Compressor (type depends upon model), control module, receiver, expansion device(s), refrigerant filter/drier and condenser.  Indoor unit(s) come complete with remote control, evaporator, multiple speed fan, louver with variable position and swing features and air filter.  Control panel with voltmeter, ampere meter, on/off control, electrical protection circuit breaker.  A high/low pressure control is included for system protection.  Hand valves are used in strategic locations along with sight glasses (the number of these units depends on the number of evaporators).  The trainer can also come with the optional electronic fault system (RDO-SAC-3) which can introduce electrical and electronic faults into the system for diagnosis and troubleshooting exercises.
