Domestic Refrigeration & Freezer Trainer

This Trainer is made from an actual Large Domestic Refrigerators-Freezer and is ideal for exploring the operational and functional characteristics typical of such Systems. Principles of operation may be demonstrated as well as basic servicing exercises conducted. The original cabinet is supplied and many of the key components have been relocated and laid out beside the unit for visualization. The four main parts of Basic Refrigeration process are easily understood (condenser, evaporator, compressor and control devices) and the components are logically arranged. The unit also features a schematic diagram of the refrigeration cycle and comes with a manual concerning basic operation and exercises

Features:  The system is identical in function to a normal domestic refrigerator freezer.  Unit features a approximately 200Ll Domestic Refrigerator/Freezer with frost-free freezer compartment, vegetable cooler and dairy section. Portions of the interior have been fitted with Plexiglas viewing panels. Before and after sight glasses High/low pressure gauges permit continuous observation of the refrigerant cycle as the refrigerant moves through the system. Another sight glasses is near the filter/drier so that the refrigerant may be observed after condensing but prior or expansion. Operation of the unit is controlled by a thermostat and cabinet temperature is viewed by a built-in thermometers. The hand valves allow the refrigerant to be restricted and thus simulate system malfunctions for troubleshooting.

Main components: Cabinet with Plexiglas window, oil cooled hermetic compressor, condenser, evaporator. capillary tube expansion device, filter/drier, thermostat, compressor starter, 2 thermometers, 3 sight glasses, high pressure gauge, 4 hand valves. Refrigerant Rl34a or other can be ordered upon request. An optional electrical fault system (RDO-RRT-F) may be ordered which features 10 electrical faults and also has an electrical circuit diagram which includes test points for troubleshooting exercises.
