Refrigeration & Freezer Demonstrators

These demonstrators are made from actual Small Domestic refrigerators and Freezers and are ideal for showing their operation and function. Principle of operation may be demonstrated as well as basic servicing exercises conducted. The original cabinets are supplied and many of the key components have been relocated and laid out beside the unit for visualization. The four main parts of Basic Refrigeration process are easily understood (condenser, evaporator, compressor and control devices) and the components are logically arranged. The unit also features a schematic diagram of the refrigeration cycle and comes with a manual concerning basic operation and exercises.

Features: The system is identical in function to normal domestic refrigerator or freezer. RDO-DRT-I is a domestic refrigerator with a small freezer compartment.  RDO-DRT-2 is domestic freezer unit for lower temperature demonstrations.  All units feature a cabinet with Plexiglas  viewing  window and a schematic diagram of  the refrigeration circuit. Before and after sight glasses and High/Low pressure gauges permit continuous observation the refrigeration cycle as the refrigerant moves through the system. Another sight glass is near the filter drier so that the refrigerant may be observed after condensing but prior to expansion. Operation of the unit is controlled by a thermostat and cabinet temperature is viewed by a built-in thermometer. The 2 hand valves allow the refrigerant to be restricted and thus simulate system malfunctions for troubleshooting.

Main Components: Cabinet with Plexiglas window, oil cooled hermetic compressor, condenser, evaporator, capillary tube expansion device, filter/drier, thermostat, compressors starter, 3 sight glasses. high pressure gauge, low pressure gauge, 2 hand valves. Refrigerant R12 or others can he ordered upon request such as R22, SUVA or 134a.
